In 2008 we have been successful with passing our priorities -- from advancing climate change legislation to passing a nationally recognized Local Farms - Healthy Kids law, WEC is helping lead the movement and get good things done.

Clean energy creates independence from fossil fuels

Despite a short 60-day session and a chilly revenue forecast for the state, progress was made on all of the environmental community’s Priorities for a Healthy Washington.

  • Climate Action and Green Jobs - PASSED.
  • Local Solutions to Global Warming  - PASSED.
  • Evergreen Cities - PASSED. 
  • Local Farms – Healthy Kids - PASSED.


The success shows the broad support for the Priorities and highlights the powerful partnerships which support them.  Read more.....
