Accord Reached in Buckhorn Gold Mine Controversy

An accord was reached between conservation groups and mining interests, ending an 18-year effort to stop the development of a large gold mine on Buckhorn Mountain in north central Washington State. Read The Seattle Times story about the agreement.

At End of Session, Legislature Makes Progress on Environmental Priorities
Despite a short 60-day session and a chilly revenue forecast, progress was made on all of the environmental community’s Priorities for a Healthy Washington.
